Vildbjerg Møbelfabrik was a key part of the early success of the Kai Kristiansen-brand. The company was started in 1942, where Aksel Jørgensen took over the factory from his teacher Anker Larsen.

From 1955 the factory produced Kai Kristiansen furnite almost exclusively.
